Volunteer Opportunities
Join in any of our activities :
Gardening; including planting and maintaining bee friendly flower beds, pruning and grass cutting.
DIY Activities ; maintaining site equipment and buildings, making and repairing hives and bird boxes
Education; lead school visits or run ready-made small group activities during the summer.
Market Stall; Do a 90-minute stint on our monthly Saturday market stall, or set up or take down occasionally. Learn to extract, melt and jar honey, and label for sale.
Bee Keeping; Help at or run training sessions for potential beekeepers or for people with a general interest in seeing our bees close-up.
Admin: Help organise any of our events, activities and visits, AGM or other meetings.
Become a member
Many of our volunteers also become members and play an even more active role in BuzzWorks.
Members get to vote at our AGM and on other strategic matters. such as electing trustees. Some enjoy meeting to form working parties on Wednesdays at 11.30 am at the Honeyworks Site. There are always friends to meet and activities to be done, even when the bees have finished for the winter.
Members enjoy the popular annual barbecue and receive notifications about BuzzWorks activities including Fun Days. Our members and volunteers make a very friendly and supportive group.
